Lying here watching Chris Rock’s ”Good Hair” for the first time and some of what I am seeing is very disturbing and sad. And no I’m not saying this bc I am newly natural…just take a look for yourself if you have not seen it.

I finally did it! After 6 1/2 loooong months of transitioning( in which I had anticipated to stretch to 1 year), I found the courage to cut the rest of the relaxer off. I have never felt more beautiful and I don’t give a damn what anyone else thinks about out it. If you are currently transitioning and considering the ” big chop”, I say go for it. There were tears but I’m happier than ever. Here goes nothing…
